Man vs. Wild

Man vs. Wild (also called Born Survivor: Bear Grylls or Ultimate Survival) is a survival television series hosted by Bear Grylls on the Discovery Channel (in Germany on DMAX, called "Abenteuer Survival" or "Ausgesetzt in der Wildnis").
The general format of each episode is the premise that Grylls is left stranded in a region. The episode documents his efforts to survive and find a way back to civilization, usually requiring an overnight shelter of some kind. Bear also tells about successful and failed survivals in the particular area which he is in.
Bear Grylls
Edward Michael Grylls, nicknamed "Bear", (born 7 June 1974) served in the United Kingdom Special Forces, further in the Special Air Service (SAS). In 1996, he suffered a freefall parachuting accident in Kenya. His canopy ripped at 1,600 feet (500 m), partially opening, causing him to fall and land on his parachute pack on his back, which partially crushed three vertebrae.
Since his recovery, he's been doing adventures and of course shooting for the TV series "Man vs. Wild"
