Of course Left 4 Dead (1) is the better game - no bugs, cool characters, realistic leveldesign and better weapons.
Nevertheless Left 4 Dead 2 is also a bit fun - sometimes,
if you ignore the bugs, the boring characters, the non-character character Rochelle (Valve should have replaced her with a houseplant),
the unrealistic leveldesign (to reach the Tunnel of Love in a fun park you'll have to have jump over a dozen fences!) and the bad weapons.
(Reloading an M4A1 takes longer than reloading a shotgun!)
However, if I didn't know Left 4 Dead (1) I'd love Left 4 Dead 2.

You're right about the caracter Rochelle Sarge, I find her boring (except her T-shirt of Dep. Mode). Even when she's not walking or doing something, she doesn't stand very well on her feets. What I like in L4D2 are the wide spaces, less corners to hide in, the Magnum, the special infected and especially "The Bridge" (The Parish). But I miss a litlle bit "the tension" of L4D. Anyway, I like them both and will play them for a long time (hopefully with you people 
)

We probably will play it for a very, very long time. 
Since the latest patches have been released Left 4 Dead 2 became more comfortable and many bugs have been fixed.
Just a few glitches, collision-miscalculations (a zombie, that is five metres away from you can hit you/a tank can hit you when you're at its back, etc.),
spawn bugs (spawning behind your back or in open small rooms near by you, etc.) and then it would be almost as good as Left 4 Dead.
Of course, a real Left 4 Dead (for me) includes Bill, Zoey, Francis and Louis with his Pills!
