About the Clan
The -/EDF/- clan was founded in October 2004 by -=BeGiNnEr=-, Sage, Straycat and two other, no more existing members, as a TacticalOps clan with the name Earth-Defense-Forces -/EDF/- TacticalOps Clan.
The founding happens after the GOD clan divided and the founders of -/EDF/- felt homeless. Since the founding the clan holds at least one public game server for TacticalOps. In the following years next to 10 game server each with 28 or 32 slots were online. The clan also holds a webpage and a forum since the beginning.
In the next years -/EDF/- grows and an own Teamspeak server, podcast system and instant messenger, based on jabber protocol, were added to the clan's servers. -/EDF/- begins to serve an archive of over 600 maps, 50 mappacks, some soundpacks, mutators, updates and more for TacticalOps. The clan's servers also provides tons of maps for the redirect downloading for all -/EDF/- game server.
Now, in 2010 a change happens. The clan is now named Earth-Defense-Forces -/EDF/- International Tactical Operations Clan and its members play a lot of tactical shooter games. On march 31th the last public game server gone offline due to a odyssey of cheaters, hackers and other freaks that played on the server recently. Only two servers are left, an MSG/DE only server and a Fun Server.
Due to these changes, the clan got a complete new webpage with an integrated forum. The old forum just exist as an archive. The Teamspeak server is also refreshed for the challenges of the future. The map archive, podcast and the own instant messenger were erased to focus on the essential.
-/EDF/- is a multigaming clan and currently focuses on its maingame Team Fortress 2.
-/EDF/- is ready for the future.
